Valparaiso books is a site on which poetry, prose and pictures will be published, perhaps even a few photographs. The one above is of Valparaiso in Chile, the city from which we have borrowed our name!
Why Valparaiso?
The Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda, owned a house, La Sebastiana, in Valparaiso. The city is a vibrant combination of the traditional working harbour and a magnet for poets, writers and artists of all descriptions. This balance of eclecticism and an interest in the real lives of people is what we will strive for with Valaparaiso.
